Obsessed! L'Oréal Revitalift C Serum Changed My Skin

SkincareOctober 20, 20252 min read

Honestly, this L'Oréal serum *actually* works! After years of searching, I think I've found a vitamin C serum that delivers real results. Grab yours from Boo...

Okay, so you know how I'm always banging on about Vitamin C and how it's supposed to be the holy grail for brightening? Well, I've tried SO many, and honestly, most of them have been a total waste of money. I wasted money on this. But then I saw this L'Oréal Paris Revitalift Clinical 12% Pure Vitamin C Brightening Serum View Product at Boots, and at £15.99, I thought, 'Why not?'

First impressions? The texture is gorgeous. It's like silk, but not greasy at all. It's got a slight citrus smell, which I really like – super fresh and not at all overpowering. I squeezed a few drops onto my fingers and patted it into my skin after cleansing and before my moisturiser. This didn't work for me at first. The first few days, I didn't notice much, but I kept at it, using it morning and night. I keep it next to my toothbrush so I don't forget!

Then, on day 5, I looked in the mirror and actually did a double-take. My skin looked…brighter. Like, REALLY brighter. I wasn't imagining it! My complexion looked more even, and that annoying little patch of pigmentation on my cheek seemed less noticeable. Unlike the No7 serum I used before, this one didn't pill under my makeup, which is a HUGE win.

After 3 weeks, I'm completely hooked. My skin is noticeably more radiant, and even my husband asked what I was using! He never notices anything! The only thing is, it does take a little while to absorb fully, so I usually apply it a good 10 minutes before my moisturiser, especially in the mornings when I'm rushing. Also, I’ve had to be extra diligent with SPF because Vitamin C can make your skin more sensitive to the sun – especially important with the UK weather being so unpredictable! Look, here's the thing...wear SPF!

Would I buy it again? Absolutely, 100%. This is a new staple in my skincare routine. It's perfect for anyone who wants brighter, more even-toned skin without spending a fortune. If you have super sensitive skin, maybe do a patch test first, just in case. But honestly, for the price, you can't go wrong. I found it at Superdrug as well. Trust me on this. You'll thank me later.

Pros:

* Visibly brightens skin

* Improves skin tone and texture

* Feels luxurious

* Affordable

Cons:

* Takes a little while to absorb

* Can increase sun sensitivity
